oh my God! Karazhan?

A not so long time ago i have wrote a post about my guild saying that since we were casual players we were more pvp oriented since this game style didn't steal us too much time.
But as in the movie with Jack Nicholson... something has changed... :)

Doing a lot of pvp you get a good gear, not good for everything, but good enough to face the beginning of the pve content and so we decided to make a trip to Karazhan just to test outselves (and maybe gain enough reputation to be able to buy the epic recipes....). And beyond any thoughts we have gone incredibly well. We downed the first three bosses (Attumen, Moroes and the Maiden) at the first try.

I've very very very very proud of us all also because noone of us (but me and another healer) went there before, the main tank was a new lvl70 druid and the offtank was another druid resto specced for the arena dressing the merciless feral pvp gear.
Everything has gone quite smoothly till we met the Maiden...

...after that we tried to make the opera event but probably we pushed it too much :P because we have to fact the Wizard of Oz event and noone of us knew how to make it. We read a bit on internet but we exploded, the warlock had to go away and so we gave us an appointment for the next day.

Now... the big question... how can we keep on being casual players and raid at the same time?
The answer is: from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. if we are able to make something that is good... if not we try next time. And not all the days of the week.

What can i say...? It was funny and it is also nice to play "relaxed" knowing that if you really have to go noone will yell at you.

...and rogue

My second character is Lamsoth the rogue, he's the big brother of Lamthara but he doesn't share with her the religious side of life... we can say he is a little bit less moral :)

By the way, the rogue, is a nice class that is easy to be played but hard to mastered. They don't have too many abilities but you'll see that most of them have a cooldown and if not they are, on the other side, related to your energy bar so that, if the fight is too long, you could really find yourself with no moves to do to kill the other :/

As a rogue you'll always start the fight because you'll be stealth and the others can't see you... so it'll be yours the right to "open the dances" and play in a way the other won't be able to counterattack you. A lot of people say rogues should become weaker because they have the ability to keep you stunned for a lot of time making a huge amount of damage but it's not 100% true. Rogue are pretty fragile... any class, in a long period, would be able to kill them so the ability to stun the opponent is the only real defence they have... and in fact when you fight a class that can keep you far away or is immune to stun (let's say mages who can blink far away from you even if stunned but there are other classes with some other tricks) rogues don't have many chances.

I am fascinated by this class... fragile and powerful at the same time. If you will become a rogue be ready to become quite indipendent, see places that usually you shouldn't be able to see, be able to solo a lot of high instances because you'll be able to skip the groups of mob and, above all, enjoy the "second chance" your vanish powder will give you. Don't understimate it... almost all the classes, once in the corner, die... not a rogue :)

what happens when you play a.... priest!

Since i've rolled and played a lot of character so far I guess i've saved enough experience to be able to talk about what happens when you play a class instead of another. I'll talk about what you will meet in your class life and the walls you'll crash to... you wont' see any numbers here :)

So now we'll start from the priest class because Lamthara is my main character and she's the one i've played more.

Differently from what you read from the manual the priest is a strange class that is not 100% devoted to the healing side of the game. Yes you'll have a huge number of healing spells but you'll be able to top the damage meter as well or play the battlegrounds with the "can't touch this" song... it is all up to your spec and talent build. This has astonished me because i have chosen to be a priest to heal but once i've seen life was so sweet making all the things blow... i've been shadow a lot (moreover i've discovered on the dark side they have cookies... ^^)

The good news is that no matter the spec you'll choose if you aren't planning to close yourself in Serpentine Shrine and being the holiest healer for the rest of your life, you'll still be able to heal in the normal 5 men instance. If the tank is not afk :) And in any case a shadow priest as an healer is better than any other healer because priests are flexible.

We have cures for every season... the one that heals you slowly, the fast one but small one, the one that jumps from you to another one, the aoe heal, the huge one that comes after an year of casting but once it comes it will fills you and overheal you (if it isn't too late :P ).

Anyway if you choose to be a priest be ready to see that sometimes some mobs are just too hard for you... since you lack or tricks sometimes the best strategy is just to run away and try after with an help hand of another guy.

In conclusion: the priest is a beautiful class, able to adapt almost to all situations and be a good dpser and one of the best healer of the game (if not the best), you'll sweat a lot leveling up but once you'll be on the top you'll discover how beautiful is to heal your mate, kill the other one and be whispered by millions of people looking for you and only you.

Indeed... someone is confused, as this pic shows, about this class but doesn't matter :)
