Invasion Point: Azeroth

It all started from some corrupted grain crates delivered to Booty Bay.
People opened them and became mindless zombies.
The plague was just annoying because killing a zombie could make you become one as well... but it was still ok...

Then something strange happened, a lot of Argent Dawn officials came to the major cities and strange crystals appear all over Azeroth, even inside holy places like Stormwind Cathedral.
Argent Dawn healers works 24 hours per day healing people who got the zombie plague and give you quests that send you to kill ghosts, creepy undeads and shadows... a sense of deja-vu takes over me when i landed again in Eastern Plaguelands...

There is even a new zone (the deathknight starting zone) on the south east of the map. A bunch of houses built around a church and a lighthouse...

...I expected to find ghosts here... instead there isn't anything. No life... even critters stay very far away from this place.
Honestly i don't know if they are planning to put some monsters here in the future but as it is now it is quite scaring :| it's just like something destroyed everything leaving only the inanimated stuff like houses and rocks...

And in the end... the flying fortresses came to Azeroth again. I remember when the Naxxramas patch came online... but now the phenomenon is quite bigger because these pyramids are all around... close to the big town, in Tanaris, in the Eastern Plaguelands... everywhere...

What will be the next big thing coming to Azeroth?

...about what happens when a expansion comes

Uhm... i don't know if this thing happened to you too but more or less one month ago, when everyone was sure about the official release date of the expansion, my guild has suffered a dark moment.

We were farming badges of justice and the day after the date has been published my guildies were already complaining there wasn't anything to do... because what was the need or the fun to do an instance... if you know that all the epics or the gear you'll loot there will be used only for some weeks? People thought to leave wow for a couple of months or maybe trying to play AoC or Warhammer. Some of them were also whining because all the time passed in bg's arenas and instances was useless because they had to say goodbye to their wonderful violet stuff :|

So I passed more or less 3 weeks doing anything but dailies to get some mounts and leveling up professions on my toons (actually i have levelled up engineering on my rogue and jewelcrafting and blacksmithing on my warrior... all of the from 0 to 300/350... not bad considering i just farmed 300g per day and invested them in the AH :)

Then new patch came. This patch changed the talent trees. Changed them A LOT. Introduced a new profession and heavily nerfed the instances and raids.
In a couple of days it was "unsafe" to go to Quel'Danas because everytime you went a bit far away from the guards you were instantly killed by a rogue, a warrior with two huge 2h maces or feared to death by a demolock brother of Illidan
... then /hugging you to get the achievement of "make love not warcraft" :)

And now people is waiting the expansion more than ever, they say they are looking forward playing in Northrend and because of the big nerf of raids every hour is perfect to try a run in places where we didn't even think to go before.

So Wotlk is a raid boss with phases.
- Phase one --> Wotlk puts a dot on you, you suffered Depression and will cry hard because you will lose your "safe spot". The dot will affect you in your real life making you wish to log off and go to make a walk
- Phase two --> Wotlk create an enrage area where all your talents will be resetted. When you'll feel the talent tree you'll go ganking everything just to see "how it is now"
- Phase three --> the dot and the enrage area will vanish, you will be more or less as you were in the beginning of the fight but the desire to play that has been leeched from you in Phase one will be re-add now and will stack with your current state.
- Phase four (not yet tried) --> You'll trash all your epics because there a green necklace with +90 agilty and +900 spell power looted from a critter that allows you to go around naked and "still own noobies" :\

Time is almost up :)

Ohhh the patch has come and Lamthara is still here.
She got a new haircut and now her smile is brighter than ever because the time of the expansion is almost arrived :PP

Moveover she has got a lot of new "lam-friends" one per class... so my plan to have one character per class has been completed (only the mage and the shaman are around lvl 60)

The happiness comes also from the knowledge of the fact that now that the instances and the raids have been nerfed quite heavily and every character in my hands is able to do the roles i want to play... so even if my protection paladin Lamnishaa isn't that much i can tank Nightbane and every boss in the high tower of Medivh.
Ahhhhh and so sweet is the feeling of being useful ^^

The new patch has also introduced the achivements so there is a stronger reason to take people to the old raids :)

I guess that Onyxia and C'Thun will meet more people nowadays and even if they aren't "that epic" anymore the fights are always funny and sometimes there is recipe that u didn't have...

...or a place where u have always desired to go but you couldn't because your guild wasn't strong enough to face it at 60 and at 70 they didn't have any desire because "there aren't Badge of Justice there". But now at least you can have a simple reward just downing the bosses there something very useful like a pink tabard O_o or the surname Jerkins behind your name.

So sometimes, waiting the expansion, if we don't raid, do heroics, or boost little guildies..... and when i am annoyed to do the dailies i try to solo the old baron run...

... :( no.... the mount never ever ever ever ever drops....
